Cold Conditions Start the Week
Winter has returned to the Commonwealth for a brief period early this week, with temperatures 15 to 20 degrees below average across much of the state. These frosty conditions arrived behind a cold front this weekend, which created a large swing in temperatures from well above average at the end of last week to well below average now. Temperatures could even dip below freezing in some areas of PA tonight bringing about a chance of snow flurries.
Conditions start to return to average as the week progresses. A low pressure system will pass through the state on Tuesday evening, bringing light rain showers. After this system passes, we shouldn’t see any additional precipitation until Friday evening.
