Warmup Expected This Week

Over the weekend, we experienced a large temperature drop. Highs throughout the Commonwealth reached nearly 80 degrees on Saturday, with temperatures hovering around 60 degrees for highs on Sunday after a cold front moved through. On Monday, we experienced very below average temperatures, with highs around the Commonwealth only reaching the mid 40s. Even some snow showers occurred in the Northwestern portion of Pennsylvania.

Today we should see temperatures warm up to the high 50s and low 60s, so slightly closer to average compared to the past couple days. Clouds should build throughout the area today with rain showers expected in the overnight hours.

Later in the week, temperatures will build as a ridge starts to move in throughout the Eastern US. Highs Wednesday through Friday will reach the low-to-mid 70s, with dry conditions expected. Over the weekend, temperatures will decrease and rain will move in during the overnight hours on Friday and throughout the day on Saturday.
