Juniata Radio Weather Wrap-Up – Midday Shift

This is a forecast for the next day– for example, if today is Tuesday, begin detailing the weather as if today was Wednesday. This will air tomorrow.

Make sure it is short and sweet! This should only detail the biggest weather stories and shouldn’t be longer than 25 seconds.

Radio Clip Format:

  1. Say your name on air and wait three seconds. This will be used by the radio station to know who they are leading into, and will be cut.

  2. Ad-lib the forecast. This should be about 10-20 seconds- and should reflect the biggest weather patterns across the state and country. Detail what we are seeing now and what should come over the next few days, without being too specific.

    1. Example: “Looks like Juniata County is poised to get a dumping of snow before noon on Wednesday. Of course, if the low pressure system shifts, we could see plowable snow over a foot. The mess should be done by late Wednesday, and an incoming high pressure system will return blue skies across much of Pennsylvania.”
