A Cold Front Across the Commonwealth

Yesterday, the Commonwealth saw temperatures reaching up to the mid-70s and sunny conditions throughout the day. Cloud cover was limited with low wind speeds. However. a thunderstorm crossed the region last night from the west, bringing us about 0.65 in of rain and intermittent thunder.

This morning, we’re seeing a cold front pass through the region from late last night, brining northerly winds and substantially colder air. There is almost a 40 degree temperature difference between yesterday afternoon and this afternoon. Feels-like temperatures are currently in the low-30s and highs only reaching the mid-40s and falling to the mid-20s tonight.

Looking into the weekend, we can expect more windy conditions with decreasing clouds throughout tonight into tomorrow. There are low chances of precipitation with colder conditions throughout Saturday into Sunday. Sunday can expect a slight increase in temperatures, predicted to reach into the mid-50s.
